I’ve been so tired all day. I hope I’m not getting sick. Steph woke me up to get ready for work and I immediately fell back asleep. A couple times. Drove to work, got there and felt like I was gonna pass out. Felt better by the end of the day but was exhausted when I got home and had to take a nap. I thought maybe I was coming down with the flu, but I actually feel 100% fine other than the tiredness thing. Maybe I’m just worn out.
Anyway, seeing as how I just spent the day being exhausted, I once again didn’t have anything particularly interesting to show for a shot. So instead, I thought I’d play with camera tricks. It’s been a long time since I played with long exposures. Maybe I need to do it more often. When you lack creative juices, you might as well make up for it by practicing technique.
technique leads to creativity and visa versa
i have found exposure techniques by "playing" that i have been able to incorporate into portrait shots
What are you spinning?
I’ve always loved these long exposures with light; just never figured out how to do it properly.
MegaBee: one of the lights that was part of my iron man costume last year.
lrayholly: it’s easy really. Just set your camera to a cery long exposure (this one was 20 seconds) and make sure the room is dark. You’ll also want to use a small aperture and low ISO. In this case I used ISO100, and ƒ/8.0
