If you were from Pittsburgh, you’d know that was a pun. You see, here,
“The Strip District” is an area of town. Once you leave Downtown
Pittsburgh, you end up in a popular shopping district that we call “the
Strip.” Tons of people wandering through little outdoor shops and
restaurants.
When Megan and I saw the Zivity “permission to peek”
contest we thought that’d be a great place to shoot a set. In my head I
thought of myself as a tabloid paparazzi. We drove down there and I gave
her a head start of about a block or two and then I followed her around
with a telephoto lens and “stalked” her. She did her daily shopping
with no idea where I was as I followed around and took shots of her from
afar. Once she finally spotted me, she led me down a random alley and
that’s where we finished the set up. In my mind it was the essence of
exhibitionism and voyeurism as she tried to finish her little strip
tease before anyone caught us.
The funny part is, we didn’t
quite make it. Just as we had finished the last t shot and she was
turning around to go get dressed a car came driving down the alley and
the motorist got the show of his life. The joys of guerrilla
photography.
