Ok, so I have no problem with returning the SATs to the 1600 scoring system. Fine. But the other changes: No more essay test (whatever, it was stupidly executed anyway), No hard vocabulary, and No penalty for wrong answers. Because apparently the “problem” with the SATs was that you had to be smart in order to do really well… you know, on a test that is supposed to measure intelligence.
And their official reasoning is “because college should be about opportunity rather than tests.” Uhh… have the SAT people ever been to college? *sigh*
Fine, whatever… Lets go with it. But I hereby propose that we also change the selection process for the NBA to allow for more spots for 5’8 middle aged dudes who smoke and have bad knees. Fair is fair.
