So all season I’ve seen geeky friends bitching about Agents of SHIELD because it wasn’t “tied enough in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to make it good.” So (no spoilers) this week’s episode was as tied in as you can get. In short it was exactly what I think geekdom has been asking for. And I actually did really enjoy it. BUT, it turns out it was the lowest rated episode of the season.
So, was the problem:
1) “too much comic continuity geekness” to it and not what a more casual audience had come to expect
2) people have just given up on the show
3) They fucking told everyone not to watch until they saw Cap 2 and that’s a pretty stupid marketing move
