Grades are turned in. All my papers are done. I am officially on Summer Break! So now it’s time to plan Mav and Margaret’s Kickball-o-rama Summer Party (yeah, we maybe need a better name for that).

We’re thinking maybe the 3rd weekend in June (6/21ish) would that work for everyone?

It looks like I can rent a pavilion in McKinley park (https://www.google.com/maps/@40.41189,-80.000631,3a,75y,19.41h,84.94t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sTnUO8lmbToRpCr3jpGZzhQ!2e0) which isn’t too far from where I live and is relatively unbusy so people should leave us alone. There are two baseball fields there which should be perfect for kick balling. I’m still not sure how many people want to come. I figure I can pay for the permit ($150.00) and maybe a keg, And other people can volunteer to bring potluck style picnic food and drinks and whatnot. And of course, financial donations to the cause would be welcome.

So who’s interested? I’ll make a Facebook event eventually (once I’m sure I have the permit) but I’d like to get a rough headcount. (if you’ve commented/liked one of the other posts and I think you live in Pgh or around here, or I’ve talked to you about it individually —and I remember—, I tagged you, but I’m not counting that as a for sure so let me know if you think you’re interested). And yeah, it’s more a party, so you could theoretically come and not play kickball. But you know, you totally should play!!!
