In the quest to be 17, I decided to give running another try. Felt a little better out there this time, and don’t feel close to dead now that I’m back like I did last time. So I guess that’s something. But I’m still way slower than I want. Down to 13:51 min/mile (last time was 14:47), but there are still a lot of walk breaks, and it’s far over the 10min miles I’m looking for. But whatever… progress (I guess).
Runkeeper informs me that with these two runs, I’ve set a Personal record for elevation climbed in a week. I guess I could go back down and run along the river where it’s flat, like Steph and I used to do, but that seems like a lot of effort when it’s so much easier to just walk out my front door and go. And the climbing is good for me, right?
There’s no being a teenager again without pain. Now who wants to go to prom with me?
If it makes you feel better, that time was close to what I got running a mile is High school…:)
