Like most of my recent models, I met Laurie on Model Mayhem. I actually saw her as a preppy staff card type for my Tarot Set, but she told me she really wanted to try to be one of the sword cards. The more I talked to her, the more I liked the idea of using her there. She has a very versatile look and that ended up being perfect for the idea of the 3 cards, a reflection of the one suit in another.
Amaya had this crazy notion of working with something like 1,642,334,563,434,278 photographers in 48 hours during her roadtrip. I was the absolute last on the list. She was dead tired by the time she got to me, but I’m still pretty pleased with how the pics turned out.
Day 286 of 365 days. I haven’t felt the slightest bit creative all day. This was the first day in 286 that I really just couldn’t care less about photography or 365 or anything. Juri was nice enough to drive all the way to Pittsburgh from DC for the Tarot shoot and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Not only was she fun to shoot, but this was one of the easiest editing jobs I’ve ever had to do. She was pretty much perfect for the card and had the exact right look I wanted for a staff card and her skin was perfect for the staff effect.

Stephanie was good enough to pose for me in her underwear a second week in a row for my Class with Dave assignment so long as I kept it PG-13. The assignment of course, was to take a picture representing blue. This was the best idea I could think of. Two weeks, two color cutouts. Go go gadget cliché!
