Day 1057 of 365 Again. This country is big… Steph and I saw a lot of it today. We drove from Pennsylvania to Tennessee for my family reunion. I took this when we stopped at a gas station next to a cornfield somewhere in Kentucky, I think… So I made hotel reservations a couple weeks…

Day 1030 of 365 Again. Steph goes off to this conference in DC every year and leaves me at home alone. to sulk in my sadness alone. She left today after we had a nice dinner together. So now I’m just really really bored and lonely. Now see, if I were a cute chick, I’d…

Day 1018 of 365 Again. I love freshly cut grass. Well, really, I love my freshly cut grass. I don’t know why, I guess it’s just a sense of accomplishment. Today was Memorial Day, so I had the day off. I celebrated in the age-old manner. I mowed the lawn. My lawn mower is broken…

Day 1017 of 365 Again. It’s been really nice out lately. Yesterday I went swimming (might do it again in a little bit) and today Steph and I went to her nephew’s hockey game. On the way out I noticed how well our roses had been blooming so I stopped to smell them. And while…

Day 947 of 365 Again. New Cosmic Hellcats comic is finished (and will automatically post at midnight). 365 is taken (and you’re looking at it). I even got a couple new Tarot Cards posted. And it’s only like midnight. I have everything I needed to get done today done, and I can go to sleep…

Five of Cups

Five of Cups

After doing no Tarot cards for months, I got three done this week. All with new models. Kinda weird the way they go in bursts like that.

This one is staring Marybeth, who I did a big shoot with on back on Thursday. A lot more shots of her to come, but I’m actually four shoots of editing behind right now, so it may take me a while to catch up.

Day 703 of 365 More.

First of all, Happy Birthday to my mom.

Unfortunately this may be her last one. You see, my birthday is in a mere 18 days from now. And as I promised 221 days ago, I intend to make it a Blast! (hahaha… get it?)

I have spent the last several weeks toiling in my secret underground lab perfecting my intrergalactic death ray. It’s almost done and should be ready in plenty of time to destroy the Sun on my birthday.

Yeah, yeah, yeah… I’ve heard it all before, "No Mav, please don’t destroy the Sun!" Screw that, what has the Sun ever done for me?

But I’ve decided to give you all a chance to prove to me how much you want the Sun. I will spare the Sun for… let’s say 1 billion dollars in my amazon tip jar by my birthday, August 1st. Sure that seems like a lot, but hell, if you all pull together you’ll have it in no time. That is, if you really do want your precious Sun. MUHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

If you don’t want to pay the ransom I have on the Sun, I guess you could always try to bribe me. A good place to start would be my Amazon Wishlist, which has all kinds of fun stuff to bribe me with for my birthday. I can’t promise I won’t destroy the sun. But hey, maybe you’ll convince me. And if you don’t, well, you won’t be needing that money anymore anyway.

Oh, and if you’d like to surprise me with a joint bribe, I believe Steph is going to try to convince me to not destroy the sun by working with people to get me the super awesome car stereo I want. So you know, if you want to chip in for that, I’m sure she’d love to hear from you.

Day 660 of 365 More.

Hey look, I’m outside again.

After filming today’s podcast, I had a photoshoot with the lovely Leia. It’s always fun working with a new girl for the first time. Had a blast. Now comes the long, drawn out process of trying to get them all processed. I don’t know when I’ll them all done. We shot a tarot card, which is cool, but sadly I’m still two cards behind that I haven’t processed yet. Geeze. I really need more hours in the day.

Anyway, Steph was nice enough to come out and pose with us for my 365 at the end. We only took a couple shots, and sadly she was squinting in both of them since she was looking right into the sun. But I don’t care, I still think she looks hot.

Stephen and I talked about using curves instead of levels for photo processing today on the show, and since I almost never do that, I decided to play with it today. That will be up in a day or two I’m sure. In the meantime, if you’re into the show, be thinking about your collaboration mini-challenge. And hey, I don’t have an idea yet, so if anyone wants to do one with me speak up. Mostly I’m talking about people who have won before, because if you do it with me or Stephen you’re DQ’d from the contest.

Speaking of podcasts, the most recent episode of the Half-show went up tonight. Featuring an interview with yours truly. It’s actually the second half of my interview. The first half having been on the previous show they posted. Anyway, check them both out on their site.

And speaking of things just posted, it’s Sunday night (well, now Monday morning) which means a new Cosmic Hellcats is up. So if you’ve been following along, go over there and check it out, and if you haven’t been checking out, well, what the hell is wrong with you. Go over there right now.

Day 646 of 365 More.

It really shows how busy I am when I can’t even find time to use my hottub. My back has literally been sore for like two weeks now. I knew that I need to soak in my hottub, but between work, 365, the podcast, Hellcats(which is now posted, by the way, so check it out), getting ready for art shows and comicons and trying to lead some kind of a life, I simply haven’t had the fifteen minutes to spare to get in.

Today all of that changed.

I finished tomorrow’s Hellcats early and got the podcast shot and uploaded for Stephen to edit. I really felt like I needed to get a jump on Thursday’s Hellcats, but there was a new Ninja Warrior tournament on tonight and Steph and I were planning to watch that together (I will someday conquer the demons of Mt. Midoriyama, this I swear). I was waiting for her to come home from her sexist book club and finally decided I’d had enough.

Oh god, I should have done this days. Ago. Fifteen minutes and I’m a new man.

If you don’t have a hottub, your life is hardly worth living.

Day 620 of 365 More. Well, you know it must be spring because it’s time to mow the lawn again. Actually, I should have done this a week ago, but I was busy. And since I’ll be at Comicon all weekend I figured it was time I did something about the grass. So I did…
