Day 825 of 365 Again. So, I got asked out on a date by Brigid the other day. She wanted to get together, have some wine and do a self-portrait together. Normally anybody would consider that a wonderful thing. The problem is Bree lives all the way out in Portland and I’m in Pittsburgh. That…

Day 807 of 365 Again. This weekend had totally been about recharging my batteries. I’ve been so burned out lately, and sometimes it’s just nice to cut loose. Remember Dyllan? She up and moved to Hawaii almost a year ago because… well, because she’s cooler than everyone else in the world and can just do…

Day 776 of 365 Again. You know, honestly I’m just kind of lazy. This would be the third time this week that I’ve done a standby "quick photo with a model you’re shooting with" picture for a 365. I mean sure it works and sure it’s a lot hotter than I’d be by myself, but…

Day 773 of 365 Again. Another day, another photoshoot. This time with Damsel, who came over to also be a part of the supersecret project. Shot for a couple hours and got some good stuff that obviously I’m not really ready to talk about right now, but when we were done, we decided to just…

Day 772 of 365 Again. First of all, I guess, apologies to anyone who reads this over the RSS feed instead of on flickr. RSS feeds don’t have safety filters, so If you’re reading this on your work computer and are promptly getting fired… well, she’s hot enough that it’s worth it right? Anyway after…

Day 744 of 365 Again. First of all, Happy Birthday to my little brother, who probably will never read this, but whatever. Had a photoshoot today. This is Scarlett. And there’s one big reason that I wanted to shoot her. I thought she’d looke awesome on a stripper pole. Something I definitely needed for the…

Day 712 of 365 More.

Today was the most modelriffic day in a long time.

First, I got mail in the middle of the day that my zivity.com set with Sarah had gone live. This is something the two of us had been waiting for for several weeks. Go us. So if you’re a zivity member, please go on over and check it out.

After work, I got to work with a new model, Virginia, for the first time. Met her at a party the other day and she was impressed with my photography and wanted to try. I’m still behind on posting photos. Haven’t started the set with Steph and Mandie from the other day, but here’s a little teaser until I get to them.

Then I got a new episode of Cosmic Hellcats posted, which is of course based on models, so head over there to read that.

Then I fell asleep on my couch til 6am. Which has nothing to do with models or photography, but I need to note it to myself because I really need to stop doing that.

Day 707 of 365 More.

Mandie wrote me the other day and said she wanted to shoot with me again. There were a few outfits she wanted to wear and she wanted to do soemthing outside.

We settled on going to a park near where she lives and I invited Steph to come along with us, because she likes parks and I haven’t gotten to shoot her in ages.

Shot pics for a couple hours and ended up getting some nice shots at sunset. The light was so nice I decided to step in for one for my 365.

Day 664 of 365 More.

You know, this staying up all night working on photography stuff was a lot easier before I had a job.

Last night I stayed up late to get the most recent Cosmic Hellcats comic posted and plan this out, but I was still in bed by 4am. I never thought I’d be up this late tonight. I wanted to be asleep by 2am. It’s now almost 6:30.

As I mentioned yesterday, this week’s podcast challenge was "collaboration." It was one I had been looking forward to, so I wanted to do something really big. I decided to write several of my favorite 365ers past and present and ask them to help me out with a photo.

Originally I was thinking I might do some kind of superhero thing, but I just wasn’t feeling it. Then I thought "I haven’t done a magazine cover in a while and this idea started to take shape.

Like any photographer, I’m a big fan of Annie Liebovitz. And like any photographer, I’d love a gig shooting for one of the big magazines. All the people you see here probably feel the same way. Looking over some of Liebovitz’s Vanity Fair covers, I figured out this was what I wanted to do. That’s what the sketch was about yesterday.

The sad thing is, I’m afraid a lot of people will just ignore this pic not realizing what’s going on. So I want to make sure everyone does know. The 10 people you see here, 9 of my favorite 365ers and all people I consider friends are actually spread out across 8 different cities. Most of us have never met. I believe them all to be wonderfully talented individuals and remarkable people. And for the most part (with the exceptions of Steph and Mickey who I already knew), I owe my entire relationships with each one of them to this project. Today, through the magic of photoshop, we can all appear together. I hope that one day we can take this shot in real life.

Thank you to Mikey, Mickey,James, Jessi, Steph, Jason, Jack, Nicole and Kat for doing this with me. You guys are great. Sorry it took so long. Please check out all of their streams and see their wonderful work.

Now I’m going to sleep for an hour and a half and go to my real job.

Day 660 of 365 More.

Hey look, I’m outside again.

After filming today’s podcast, I had a photoshoot with the lovely Leia. It’s always fun working with a new girl for the first time. Had a blast. Now comes the long, drawn out process of trying to get them all processed. I don’t know when I’ll them all done. We shot a tarot card, which is cool, but sadly I’m still two cards behind that I haven’t processed yet. Geeze. I really need more hours in the day.

Anyway, Steph was nice enough to come out and pose with us for my 365 at the end. We only took a couple shots, and sadly she was squinting in both of them since she was looking right into the sun. But I don’t care, I still think she looks hot.

Stephen and I talked about using curves instead of levels for photo processing today on the show, and since I almost never do that, I decided to play with it today. That will be up in a day or two I’m sure. In the meantime, if you’re into the show, be thinking about your collaboration mini-challenge. And hey, I don’t have an idea yet, so if anyone wants to do one with me speak up. Mostly I’m talking about people who have won before, because if you do it with me or Stephen you’re DQ’d from the contest.

Speaking of podcasts, the most recent episode of the Half-show went up tonight. Featuring an interview with yours truly. It’s actually the second half of my interview. The first half having been on the previous show they posted. Anyway, check them both out on their site.

And speaking of things just posted, it’s Sunday night (well, now Monday morning) which means a new Cosmic Hellcats is up. So if you’ve been following along, go over there and check it out, and if you haven’t been checking out, well, what the hell is wrong with you. Go over there right now.

Day 649 of 365 More.

It was a dark and stormy night. Business hadn’t been great. The dames were even worse. You know how it goes. I gave Miss Jones the night off and shut myself up in my office and decided to crawl inside a bottle of Old Number 7 and tried to wait it all out.

I heard the knock at the front door, but with no Miss Jones to answer, I thought maybe if I just stayed quiet whoever it was would go away.

No such luck.

That’s when she walked in. A pretty face, stems up to here and a rack that could cause traffic accidents. The dame wore red. She smelled like money. She said she needed help. She said she could pay.

Her name was Trouble.

Or it might as well have been. I could smell it a mile away. You could have driven a ’49 Olds through the holes in her story. But what was I gonna do? A man could get lost in those eyes for days and I’m a sucker for a pretty face. Besides, this broad would do anything for my help and I hadn’t done the nasty in nearly a week. Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice and hope for the six the hardway. And sometimes you crap out.

My name is Philip Marlowe.

Trouble is my business.

Day 625 of 365 More. The last day of Pittsburgh Comicon 2008. Didn’t do quite as well as we did on Saturday, but we still did pretty good. Sold some books, talked to some fans, even did an interview for a web tv show (my second for this project). It actually made me believe for…

Day 618 of 365 More. The nice thing about being a glamour photographer is that there are days where I don’t really have a self-portrait idea, and I can simply sandwich myself between a couple hot models and presto, photo of the year. So, Sarah asked me to take some shots of her and her…

Day 597 of 365 More. "Once upon a time there were four beautiful little girls.
