XII-Hanged Man

XII-Hanged Man

Sometimes its amazing how simple something can be. I spent months obsessing over how I was going to rig the hanged man card just right to have someone hanging upside down by one foot. Only in the last week or so did it occur to me that I had changed the base pose of pretty much every other card, so why not that one?

Anyway, once I figured out that i should change the base pose, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this one. I had wanted a male bondage card to offset Temperance anyway, and Cade seemed like a natural for it.

Day 524 of 365 More. I had this really great idea for the 365 Podcast. I wanted to do a tutorial on creating well toned black and white pictures. Easy enough to do, film myself taking today’s self portrait, while narrating, then just use some screen recording software to record myself processing it in photoshop.…

Day 523 of 365 More. I’ve decided to give up photography. I’m also giving up design. From now on I’m going to be a hedonistic billionaire playboy and an avenging vigilante by night. My training has begun, and now I’m in need of a disguise. Criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot. So, my disguise…

Day 522 of 365 More. Four days. That’s all that’s left to my show. I’m actually feeling pretty good about it. I got my prints back today, and I even made a Black and Light gallery on Elseworld on the off chance that someone who isn’t going to the show would like to buy a…

Day 518 of 365 More. One of my professors back in school used to tell me that the secret to good writing was to kill your darlings. It’s a good lesson, but its one of the hardest things to do. The same seems to be true for art. With yesterdays’s posts, I’m halfway through the…

Decided it was long past time I posted some more cards. I wonder if people even remember that I was doing this. Anyway, I had shot a couple more cards in some of my last few photoshoots but been holding off on dealing with them since I had so much else going on. I thought it was high time I put them up though.

I never met Leann before the day I shot her. She had heard about the projeet and wanted to be a part of it. But once I started shooting her, the exact way her hair was, her tattoos and even her body just screamed to me that I had found my Justice card.

Decided it was long past time I posted some more cards. I wonder if people even remember that I was doing this. Anyway, I had shot a couple more cards in some of my last few photoshoots but been holding off on dealing with them since I had so much else going on. I thought it was high time I put them up though.

This one was shot during my shoot with Dyllan. She had wanted to be a part of the Tarot project almost since I started it. And as she was moving away, I figured it was one of our last chances. Dyllan is a singer, and so choosing her to use a microphone as a staff seemed totally obvious.

Day 515 of 365 More. I’m feeling a little better today. I’m still overworked. I’m still exhausted. But, I’m feeling a bit better about it. I’m almost caught up on the shoots I’ve done so far for the lights show, and should be finishing the rest of them up tomorrow. Then maybe I’ll finish a…

Day 514 of 365 More. I’m burned out. It’s not a bad thing, really. But that’s how it is. Between a bunch of photoshoots, planning my Black and Light photo exhibit for the gallery show I’m doing in a couple weeks, being buried behind a million things at work, Christmas, New Years, putting together the…

Day 513 of 365 More. Well, its the aftermath of the Steelers loss, but life must go on. First of all, the new 365 podcast is up. Please go check it out and let us know what you think. This week we’re offering basic tutorials on lighting and focusing. Also, let me know if you…
